Comcast SportsNet’s My Life 365 series explores the lives of area sports heroes. NFL Hall of Famer Art Monk and former Georgetown and NBA star Alonzo Mourning have been featured through this unique series, which hits the core of what makes select area sports figures uniquely successful in their respective sports, families, communities and lives. In February, shows focusing on Washington Capitals and Washington Mystics Owner Ted Leonsis and Georgetown great Allen Iverson will debut.

The Chairman and Majority Owner of Lincoln Holdings LLC, which holds ownership in several D.C. entities including 100% of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and WNBA’s Washington Mystics sits down with the network multiple times over a several-month span. Leonsis discusses a series of topics which includes exploring his life growing up in Brooklyn with parents who emphasized education despite not having college degrees.

The former Georgetown University basketball star talks candidly with Comcast SportsNet analyst Ron Thompson about his Foundation, which provides support to the youth of Miami, his thoughts on the tragic death of Sean Taylor, a Miami resident at the time of his death, and his rare kidney disease, which almost ended Mourning’s  player career. Thompson also sits down with his father, former Hoyas coach John Thompson, Jr., to discuss his former protégé, along with Mourning’s wife and current Miami Heat teammates, including superstar Dwayne Wade.

Comcast SportsNet was the only area network to spend seven straight days with Monk to film this documentary about the life of the Hall of Famer. Monk shares his perspective on the greatest moments from his career and his emotions leading up to the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. Monk also speaks on other topics close to his heart including his Good Samaritan Foundation and his strong faith, which helped shaped the person he is today.

In its fourth edition of the My Life 365 series, Comcast SportsNet's Ron Thompson takes us on a 30 minute tour with the iconic Allen Iveson. From his successful,but turbulent High School days back in Hampton Roads Virginia; to his All-America college days at Georgetown University, and finally ending with his Hall of Fame NBA career.
