The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed fullback Eddie Williams to their 53-man roster and tackle Clint Oldenburg to their practice squad.

Williams, who the Redskins selected in the seventh round (221st overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft, spent the first eight weeks of season on the team’s practice squad.

Oldenburg was most recently a member of Minnesota’s practice squad from Oct. 14, 2009 to Oct. 17, 2009 after spending training camp with the Denver Broncos.

Originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round (171st overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft, Oldenburg started his career on the Patriots’ practice squad before being released on Sept. 19, 2007 and signing with the New York Jets’ practice squad on Sept.20, 2007. Oldenburg was elevated to the Jets 53-man roster on Dec. 19, 2007 and saw action in the final two regular season games, making his NFL debut at Tennessee (12/23/07).

After spending training camp with the Jets, Oldenburg spent the final 11 weeks of the 2008 season as a member of the St. Louis Rams practice squad.

Born September 9, 1983 in Gillette, Wyo., Oldenburg played at Colorado State, where he saw action in 36 games with 34 starts.

using there players
i believe if you move santana to the slot you get more from him and it would be easy for campbell to throw to him. then our defense needs to give up the man and blitz more. dont let randle el return punts no more give it to devin and cartwright is done let devin have that to. if they want to see the the young guys make plays throw it to them more often and there see development.

HAHAHAHAHA
good move again by the front office signing some patch work players to salvage some dignity they have (or not) left in the season. Cerrato is an e-ffi-N idiot. Next year is an uncapped season, a good way to remove some junk in the team, Cerrato, Portis, Campbell, Rogers, all the Oline, Hall, Smoot, Randle El, Kelly. Heck put Snyder if its possible
