Seabass Selects: Week 7
Friday, October 16, 2009By Sebastian SalazarCSNwashington.comAfter shooting the games, Sebastian Salazar will let you know who impressed him the most every week with his Seabass Selects! What's
up
folks! You guys dried off yet??? The rain was everywhere and it definitely took a toll on each game we were at. I've been shooting high school football for the past 4 years and can't remember a night where I saw as many fumbles as I did tonight. Want to welcome aboard Trevor Martin who helped shoot video for the Einstein-QO game and the Blake-Seneca Valley game... he's the newest addition to the team and he'll help us get to even more games!
Offensive Player of the Night:Edward Cunningham - Running Back - Seneca Valley
Cunningham was the beneficiary of a dominant performance from the Screaming Eagles offensive line, but when the O-line opened the holes... Cunningham did the rest. Because of the weather, Seneca Valley had to keep the ball on the ground, but even though Blake knew Cunningham was going to get it... they still couldn't stop him. Cunningham finished with 4 touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Night:Larry Kline - Defensive Back - Whitman
Kline delivered what I consider to be the best hit I've seen so far this season. With Gaithersburg driving late in the 4th quarter for a potential go-ahead score... Kline snuck up in the flat and seperated the ball from the receiver with a thunderous smack. That hit slowed the Trojans momentum and Whitman held on to win. Oh by the way, he scored the game-winning touchdown as well!
Fans of the Night:Damascus/Sherwood
By the time I got to Sherwood it had really started to rain... and the temperature had dropped enough to make the night kind of miserable. Fans of both teams braved the elements and brought noise and atmosphere to a game that most certainly deserved it. I think I even heard some music from the Damascus band... how they played with frozen fingers I'll never know, but great job!

Remember we are only able to be at each game for a little while, so if
we missed something... LET US KNOW!!! Leave a comment ***
Swarmin Hornets
No Brian Lucas for offensive player of the night???? CMON! He dominated the game and won it late for the Hornets. Damascus is back baby, our boys are Giant Killers!
