Bethesda, MD (July 6, 2009) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports television, announced today an extensive partnership with World TeamTennis (WTT) and the Washington Kastles that includes airing five World TeamTennis matches featuring tennis stars Serena Williams, Venus Williams, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova and Andre Agassi, beginning Tuesday, July 21, with all games starting at 7 p.m.

The below WTT matches will air at 7 p.m. beginning July 21 on Comcast SportsNet:

• July 21: Sacramento Capitals at Philadelphia Freedoms, featuring Venus Williams

• July 22: Newport Beach Breakers at Washington Kastles, featuring Serena Williams

• July 23: Boston Lobsters at New York Sportimes, featuring Martina Navratilova and John McEnroe

• July 24: Philadelphia Freedoms at Newport Beach Breakers, featuring Andre Agassi

• Aug. 1: Advanta World TeamTennis Championship Finals, from Kastles Stadium in Washington, D.C.

As part of the partnership, Comcast SportsNet created a 30-minute original program to give viewers an inside look at World TeamTennis and the big name stars that make up the league. Keys to the Kastles includes a roundtable discussion with Comcast SportsNet’s Russ Thaler, Kastles’ team owner Mark Ein and the Kastles’ head coach, French Open champion and television personality Murphy Jensen. The program highlights tennis legends facing the Kastles this season including Venus Williams, Anna Kournikova and John McEnroe. Billie Jean King, co-founder of World TeamTennis, also is featured.
